I’m offering you a magnificent burger, larger than life, a good burger for good eaters. It consists of a bun (top and bottom), a steak, two lettuce leaves, a slice of cheddar, and two tomato slices (one large and one small).
The buns, the cheddar, and the steak are ultra-simple to make; they’re crocheted in the round or in a spiral (I used a spiral). The first challenge comes with the tomatoes, because you have to change the color and take the time to sew the details. The biggest challenge remains the lettuce, because you use double crochets and half double crochets, while rotating the work to go back and forth. If the lettuce is complicated, you can make a disc of the desired size, and finish one or two rounds with increasing double crochets (2 or even 3 double crochets per stitch). Once the burger is closed, it will create an illusion. I wanted to make very realistic lettuce leaves!

Embroider the details (seeds) and sew the tomato’s rays with a mix of light and dark red threads (390+252), and the seeds with light yellow or beige.
Tip: For the yarns that form the flesh, don’t make twists so they create beautiful lines. I didn’t thread everything through the same hole to widen without thickening.
Tip: If you don’t want to see the back of the tomato slice, make them in pairs and sew them together; this way, you’ll have two beautiful sides.
