Learn how to crochet in spiral rounds or continuous rounds, step by step, with pictures and descriptions.
Spiral crochet is the most popular way to crochet amigurumis. It is necessary to mark each row start, as you will not see it like in a round method with row closure, as explained here. You will therefore need to mark and count the total number of rows (either at the end or as you go) in order to correctly follow your pattern.
This method tends to make your circle slightly hexagonal. There is another method, with a slight offset of the stitches, which allows you to obtain a perfect circle, the technique of which is described here.
