Learn how to make a double crochet (dc) step by step, with pictures and descriptions.
The double crochet stitch (dc), or treble in UK (tr) is a classic crochet stitch. It is used to crochet clothes (sweaters, scarves) or to make some amigurumis. We find the double crochet stitch accompanied by the half double crochet or even the treble or double treble for leaves, wings, etc.
This double crochet stitch below is the classic stitch, where you will make 3 chain stitches at the end of each row. These three chain stitches form a demarcation on the side at the end of the work which can be found unsightly. Here you will find a cleaner alternative to do without the three chain stitches.
The classic version on the left, the sharper version on the right.
